Traded my car in, and also included a down payment. Signed the papers and drove off. Had the car for over a month and found out through the finance company that they never financed us. The dealership was completely clueless, and we waited another month only to get a phone call that we had to bring the car back. Luckily we were able to pay cash and keep it, but we received over 50 letters informing us we were denied which in turn dropped our credit scores tremendously. I have dealt with the Chevrolet dealership service dept. next door to Baytown Ford for many years and was happy with them, so when I purchased my new F150 I was wondering if Baytown Ford could be as good. They are, and even better! The young man (Abraham) who handled my first maintenance service was the epitome of professionalism and courtesy. My experience with Baytown Ford was awful. I was lied to and feel completely betrayed. I was told if I bought the car I didn't want I could bring it back in 6 months and get the car I wanted with good payment history. My husband and I have better credit now and have never missed or been late on a payment. We got the run around and were told we had a lower credit score. I brought my wife's 2016 Ford Edge to Baytown Ford on Monday, July 3rd. The check engine light was visible along with the "Wrench". The Service Writer (Fred) told me that they would not be able to look at the car until Thursday, they were extremely full in Service. I was disappointed, but had no choice. To my surprise, Fred called me Monday afternoon and said the car would be ready by the time I got there that he was able to squeeze the car in. I was very appreciative of the effort.
