The Service department is unprofessional and has extremely poor customer service. after only owning the vehicle for less that 2 weeks my engine light came on and I was told that if the issue was not a warranty item that I would be charged a diagnostic fee of over a hundred dollars and the service manager told me it could have been a rat that chewed a wire and I would have to pay the fee. the general manager later explained that I would not be charged if I had the repairs done at the dealership....This was my first Nissan and... read more
I went to to Bates Nissan to get an airbag checked and was charged 115$ diagnostic fee sight unseen. I was told after the diagnostic that I needed to spend 300-500$ to replace 1-2 parts at the front of the engine compartment behind the grill. this also included a mildly rusty bracket that didn't need to be replaced. I denied the repair and took it to get a second opinion at an honest shop, Texas Discount Automotive. They found nothing wrong with my airbag system. I bought a used truck and it ended up having bad tires on them and they want to charge me to get new ones.
