It is extremely difficult to get an appointment when dog is very sick and always banfield says 2-3 weeks for appointment. We have been with banfield for over 1.5 years and initially enrolled in puppy program. Initially it was good and was able to get appointment for puppy when he is sick. Now even in case of emergency, they give a 2 week appointment. My dog caught bordatella and we were not aware of it. As soon as our "Plan" is done, we will not be taking our pets to Banfield. Our cat had an appointment scheduled for 9 AM this morning. It is almost noon. My husband called once to find out what was going on and they said the doctor was not our of surgery yet. I tried calling and they were "not available." Why does Banfield make appointments when they know it's a good chance they can't keep it. Because they can run your pet through a quick process and not have to really take care of your pet! Banfield is TRASH!. Once I realized the plan I have ($65.00+/month covers nothing my Boxer ever needs I tried to cancel. I was told that I could cancel but my account would continue to be charged. Major rip!!! Poorest rating ever!

Reasons to NOT use Banfield: 1. When you inquire to join one of the Wellness plans they will tell you you can cancel at any time. This is a BOLD FACE LIE. I was a unwilling customer for nearly a decade. I tried to cancel my account 3 different times during that time. Now my beloved friend has passed away and they STILL WILL NOT CLOSE MY ACCOUNT. Banfield is run like a criminal operation under the Mars Inc brand. They steal money customers and lie to people who bring their pet into their doors. There is no corporate escalation of issues as I have waited over 5 months for a call back after reporting the criminal behavior happening at the San Francisco facility. Mars employees avoid Banfield centers for their own pets (despite getting discounts) because they know how tragic the business is. A 1 star rating on the BBB should say enough. #BanBanfield

Right now I have two wishes: 1, that I could rate Banfield less than one star, and 2, that I had read the reviews before ever signing anything with them. As far as the medical treatment, the techs and veterinarians gave our dog pretty good care. But after 14 years Fritz (our miniature schnauzer) developed several serious health issues and we had to make the awful choice to put him down. Took the light of my world in last July for a sprained leg and signed up for a plan. They did an exam, xrays and gave her vaccines to get her up to date. Everything seemed fine until about a month ago I noticed a lump on her back next to her shoulder. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH BANFIELD. After paying 50/mo for about 8 months. When my new puppy was not eating I was told, "we can't see you. go to urgent care if you think its serious" REALLY? You have been warned.
