Horrible customer service, have been trying to reach them for a week about our late delivery. On hold for 30 to 45 minutes. Covid is not an excuse to not answer the phone
How can this business have a BBB A+ rating with a customer review average of 1.08? Their customer service is AWFUL. You cannot reach a human on the phone, their website is useless, there is no way to schedule a delivery. The driver is great, the company is terrible. I don't know how they stay in business.

Have been a customer for MANY years for our summer/weekend cabin. Did online request for delivery and got a confirmation email. The delivery didn’t happen. 20+ minutes on hold to get delivery. Delivery came on Wednesday and driver locked the tank for no apparent reason. I would be ok with that but NO ONE called to tell me. Not an email/text/call to tell me the tank was locked. I wish I could give them zero stars. Absolute terrible customer service and management. Had multiple issues with this company at the beginning of the year. We have two propane tanks on our property. One for our home, the other for our greenhouses. A employee filled the wrong tank during a delivery. Although it was his mistake, Amerigas said they would not fix the issue unless we paid more. Call wait time is absolutely insane! The music played while on hold for long period of time is obnoxious, repetitive, and highly irritating. If I was not angry when I called, I was by the time the call was answered. One call was dropped while on hold for for over 15 minutes. My issue has not been resolved after multiple calls. Horrible. I write this in october. We have been trying to get a return call for an inspection to have a tank put on our land. After many calls, hours on hold, finally contacted via linked in, the regional manager. He must have lit a small fire bc a customer person called me back. A week later, inspection of where to out tank and price was give to me. They said they were 3 weeks out and wud call to schedule...nope. of course they didnt. No surprise. I've had to call three times. Each time, the wait was around 45 minutes. The first time, I was told by the rep that someone would call me that afternoon to schdule an inspection. Never happened. Waited three more days to wait another 45 more minutes on hold. Rep apologized, said someone would call me on Monday at 1 PM. Never happened. Our lease began with V1 propane about 2004 on a lease to own agreement. Amerigas converted that agreement to a lease forever and buy only their propane agreement which was a unilaterial move that I did not approve of but trying to not make life to hard for myself so have continued with them. Now things have changed. I have placed numerous calls for propane and am placed in interminable hold. Have sent emails to Amerigas customer support and UGI corporate address.
