Second time here, even during bike week I loved it.
Everyone at this hotel is so nice.... And the food has been out of the world. Breakfast is wonderful .... And Miss Leanne will greet you with a smile.... And the servers .... Mr. Tracy ...Miss Debbie and all the guys are truly great ... If you are at the beach .... Even us you can't stay there... Go eat there. Delish.
We stayed at Avista May 1-5. Loved it! One bedroom facing the ocean. It rained every day but we still got some sand and sun everyday. It was also "beach week". We never heard anything during the night, so the students weren't bad. We'd recommend the Avista to anyone. We will be back!
We checked in last evening and ate at the in house restaurant. Empty. This morning empty. Lunchtime empty. Can't get any cocktails until 4 pm when their only bar opens. Outside pool bar, not open. Ordered a fruit basket before check in. Had to call to get it brought up. Can't reserve any umbrellas and beach until May. It's been a little unsettling and it's only our first full day. Oh, and it's 2:45 pm and haven't seen a maid yet. Scary

The pool area was dirty with no towels available after multiple people asking for them...water did not look as clean as it usually does but I believe it is because the indoor pool area is in need of some serious updating...especially with the covering of the inner workings of the fans /pumps whatever near the ceilings. That was a total eyesore and not what I wanted to see as we relaxed in the hot tub. We just came back from a marriage retreat. First time being there. We loved it!!!! Poeple are friendly, room was very clean. Staff at just off main was great & nice!!! Can't wait to go back!!!!
