I went with my family for a weekend last month (August )and in the 20th I got hurt in the pool area and no one came to me to see what had happened. I been trying to reach the Avista resort management but nobody answer, so disappointed
Great place . Really nothing to complain about staff very friendly .even let us look at a three bedroom when they could of said no . The one bedroom is a little small thats about it . Going to be back . Next year hopefully.
We stayed for our 2016 family trip we enjoyed the nice room, poolside where you can order good food, the workers was great
Me and mom had a great time our room was clean it was high floor great ocean front view we got food Main Street in resort dinner one night tasted great I went night swimming and was so grateful that I meet a young check in clerk by by the name of Anthony he is here from Bulgaria and he helped us with luggage and really was helpful . Friendly and made us feel welcome . Great staff house keeping brought soap and towels in timely manner and we had great experience we enjoy this stay very much be back next season .
We made reservations months in advance when we arrived we were greeted well! But we were given a room with handicapped shower I have a 2yr old child image that. My mother was highly upset. Because we never requested to have this type of room. They told us they were booked we had to wait till the next day for a different room. But they had a Vacancy sign but okay. My boyfriend & I first came to avista back in 2014. We loved it then & still we are continually coming back. 'Angela' checked us in & she was awesome! I love the corner units & the fantastic views. We enjoy ALL the amenities this resort offers. 'Just Off Main' has a great breakfast buffet & when we're too lazy after a dip in the jacuzzi, they bring anything off the menu right up to you. This was my second time here (1st time in 2009) and just last week. I love this hotel. Love that all the rooms are like condos! Lots of space and clean. Only little issues is that the breakfast is just okay and the cleaning service wasn't on their "A" game last week. (The issue with that was taken care of promptly, which was much appreciated) But we didn't let those 2 minor things get in the way of a great Myrtle Beach vacation! :) can't wait to come back!
Overall the resort is great! Breakfast is horrible! Service is slow(it was not busy), french toast has no taste or powdered sugar, bacon is overlooked! Will be going out for breakfast from now on!
We arrived here July 18th 2016. We got separated from our luggage carts. Two of them were taken to our room ahead of us. Huge mistake. Always stay with your stuff. Our video camera was no where to be found. Filed police report the following morning. That evening our video camera appeared out on our beach blanket that we had left out there a few hours while we cooled down back at our room..
