Worst Car rental experience I've had. I know how car rental places work, so before I returned the car, I went and paid to get it washed and detailed so they couldn't try charging me for cleaning services. Upon drop off, the lady behind the counter said they discovered pet hair. I advised that's not possible, as I don't have pets nor were there pets in the car. Rented a car from them on 5/15/2020. I rented it for 3 months. Five weeks later a recovery company called me and said that the vehicle was reported stolen and wanted to know where I was. Turns out the the person that rented it to me only did it for a month and I didn't catch the return date on the paperwork. I told them the situation and they had my credit card so I told them just to charge me for 3 months because that is how long I need it. Rented from AVIS Daytona Beach International Airport. The car was fine as I was about to leave the lot I notices a hand held radio in the car. I figured it was a staff radio so I walked back to the terminal counter and returned it to the desk agent. The rest of the rental was uneventful and the car was returned the next day. Everything went smoothly with my car rental and return in College Park, Georgia. Customer service was friendly and helpful at pick up and drop off. What I have an issue with is being charged $250 over a month after returning the vehicle for "damages", while I was never notified of the "damages" or that $250 would be charged to my credit card. This literally made me cry. We've lived near this location for three years. Rented several times. They even upgraded me to a Camero once just because. It was disappointing when the deposit was increased period as middle income deserve vacations too. But we were like ok. But this time, I deal with a woman I've never seen in there. UNSAFE RENTAL COMPANY THAT DOESN'T EVEN CLEAN THEIR CARS DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC!!!! I rented a vehicle from Avis on March 13, 2021 for 9 days for the cost of $474.58. Upon renting this vehicle I expected to receive a clean, well maintained, and reliable vehicle. The vehicle I received was dirty, to include sticky residue on the center console, steering wheel, gear shifter, and door handles. This freaking company is ridiculous - they overcharge you and dont seem to care about getting you your money back - never use this company at all - the vehicles are dangerous and they dont seem to ever maintain the vehicles.

This is absolutely THE WORST car rental company I have ever encountered. I rented a car in San Francisco and was double charged by Avis. The morning after my rental, we walked out to find a flat tire. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with customer service and ended up having to use my AAA to have the tire repaired. They charged my card $450.00 for heavy smoke which I know is a lie. I don't smoke and I have little kids. My car is broke down reason why I got the car. I had them send me evidence and when given the pictures I feel are a joke I even see my son's formula in there that I believe there trying to say is ash. It's COVID so I'm out of a job currently cause daycares are open like that so that 450 they just took from my family that I feel are false really hurt.
