Worst rental service in the business. I booked a reservation. They charged my card twice. I called to speak with customer service they informed me the charges will be placed back on my card 3/5 business days. 5 days later still no refund. Called customer service back. Spoke with a very rude agent who was very hostile and I felt like I wasn't a valued customer. Still no refund after 10 days. Stay away from avis rental car company.

On 3/25/2021 I called to make a reservation with Avis with a deal I found online "pay now." My reservation was for $620.82, as I received an email that day. I called on 4/26/2021 to ask if they offered a Mayo Clinic employee discount, they do, but for some reason it was more than what I had already paid. The person I spoke with told me, there was a change made to my reservation on 4/19/21, I never made a change. They will hang up in your face lie to you act like they can't change the dates etc. it's not right at all

We rented a vehicle number ******** at the Raleigh NC Avis on 4-17 at 12:35. The contract stated incorrectly 12:11. The rental agent made a notation of the actual time on the contract. Upon receiving the car I noticed scratches in the paint, cigarette burns in the seat and a dent in the drivers door. I pulled around went back inside and asked for a different car due to damages and cigarette smell. I was told there were no other cars and to take photos, which I did. Ârented a car from you guys on April 11-15 at Houston airport. I not happy with what i went through.i get in my rental car there is alot of cars lined up to headout to exit the parking lot. You have 3 check points in this lot there is 1 person at a check point when you have 2 check points closed. It took me 20 til 25 minutes to get out to head towards my destination. Very deceiving cancellation policy if prepaid in full. I booked a rental car, cancelled at the same day, and was charged a $50 non-refundable cancellation fee. What's more annoying is the cancellation fee could be refunded as credit if the rental data is before 4/30/2021 but not after. So I booked advance but got worse treatments than last-minute rental bookings.

We rented a car through Avis for a vacation, booking two months in advance. At the time of check out our bill was approximately $500. As the date approached we were notified they would no longer be honoring our reservation amount, claiming we had changed something about the reservation, which we had not. The new amount they planned to charge was over three times the original amount at approximately $1,600. Reserved a vehicle through Avis at the Waterloo, Iowa location on 2/24/21 for a pick up date of 4/14 at 3pm. I was contacted by Avis at noon on 4/14/21 (the day of my pick up) and Avis informed me that they gave away my vehicle and no longer had ANY vehicles available and cancelled my reservation. I contacted the corporate office of Avis to see what other options I had, I spoke to 3 different people who, in my opinion have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I had a reservation with Avis for the end of April 2021. Booked the vehicle for $425 out of Fort Myers FL. Doing some pre vacation checking I realized I forgot to add a car seat for my 2 yr old. Went on the Avis website to add, charge of $70 plus tax. Received a new email confirmation of the booking for $508. Logged back in to my Avis account to check only to see a new balance of $1,147.
