If I could give zero stars I would. I returned a rental on November 2, 2021. I was told that the $200 would be refunded to me within 5-10 business days. I have called and been on hold for long periods of time only to be hung up on. I have had customer service agents be so rude to me I was in tears. It has now been 7 weeks since I returned my car, and I still have not receive the deposit back. The last person I actually spoke to told me it wasn't a deposit but a hold. I attempted to rent a car from Avis and the location provided was not accurate. I called to find the location but the number for Avis rang with no answer. I called to cancel the reservation but again, there was no answer. I also googled the location and the number and all I could find was the same number I had been calling. After at least half a dozen calls, I cancelled through my company website where I had originally booked. Several weeks later, AVIS contacted me asking to return the car (which I never rented). I returned the car Friday afternoon instead of Saturday morning. Everything seemed fine. I've noticed Avis just arbitrarily adds charges on my credit card. NO EXPLANATION, NO NOTHING. Here it is Tuesday and I look at my credit card statement online and here's a charge for over $600.00.AGAIN NO EXPLANATION!!! CROOKED CRAP.

I got charged for damage 5 month after turn in . Knowing there was nothing wrong with vehicle when I turned in . This place will rob u blind and they did not have proof of damage

Customer service is an absolute nightmare and my case seems nowhere close to being resolved. I turned my car into BWI airport on 12/9. I accidentally took the one key fob with me and didn't realize until my flight was about to board. Knowing what I know now, I should've just missed my flight and prayed I wouldn't get stranded because this has been a nightmare. rented a car for a personal trip to ft lauderdale, got the car ok and did my stuff around. returned the car more than 1hour before due (due at 9:30, returned around 7:40pm), left the car in the return queue and headed to the terminal, got email confirming the car was returned and processed at 8pm. next day go to the site to get the invoice and it shows car returned at 10:45pm with 1 hour extra charged plus 1 day of extra insurance. Terrible customer service , mis-representation of what is being agreed to, failure to provide adequate review. (Signed on their device, no printed copy of the agreement, no ability to confirm their data entry. I rented a car for a 1-way, 89 Mile trip. Agreed to take a more expensive car (because they didn't want to send a cheap car on a one way trip) - agreed to pay $299 for this. I got charged 280 dollars because their cars battery needed a jump start. I had to pay for the poor quality of their rental cars. Definitely a terrible experience. I will Never rent from them again.
