Booked a car for 3 pm yesterday (prepaid). Waited in line behind only 2 people and did not get the car for 1 hour and 15 mins. The guy at the counter announces about 40 minutes into the wait...sorry folks its going to be about 15 mins wait per customer because they cant keep up at the washing station. Really?? Highly disappointed. It's 1:40am on Christmas eve! I have been standing in line for almost an hour with several people in front of me and behind me. You would think on one of the busiest travel days of the year, you would have more staff on hand! Especially for preferred members.. shame avis shame...
Worst car rental experience ever. I reserved a car and selected a specific return destination. Due to their own website issue, my price increased by over 200%. Even though they admitted to having this website issue, they still made me pay for it. Unprofessional and disgraceful company. You lost a customer for life as well as my entire nationwide company.
Wish I could give zero stars. Avis are liars! I refuse to ever rent from them again. They miss treat all of their customers. As you can see many of their reviews are horrible! Please take our advice.
Hour and a half line
Not very efficient. Sitting outside in the heat with four kids is not fun.

Last time I use AVIS, more than 15 minutes for a shuttle at LAX, and that one was "full" so we waited even more. 10 Hertz shuttles went by in the meantime ...
I am clicking on the one star only because I am unable to write a review without clicking on a star. I had the worst experience at LAX Avis. I waited for over two hours to get my car. I rented the car through priceline and was placed in three different cars before being able to leave in the right car. They would place me in a car then find out it was not something they could lease due to mechanical defects or other reasons.
