Not a bad place depending on the night – I have gone on two different occasions. One was for a Beach Party, the other was a random Friday night. The special party was no too popular and the crowd was sparse. The strange thing is that I went on a "non occasion" Friday and had a great time with a great and fun crowd. Typical overpriced drinks and some girls with way too much attitude, but overall had a blast with my friends.

Nice service – When a small group of us went to this lounge we were greated average. However, when our waiter came to our table....the service really began. The food was great! The service was amazingly great! Also, our water and drinks were never empty. The music made you feel good and the ambience was superb.

Downtown restaurant and lounge attracts diners and dancers with its contemporary fare and sleek setting. – In Short U-shaped calfskin booths with fuzzy, rain-cloud gray seatbacks and wraparound curtains deck out the modern space. A sophisticated crowd stops in for dinner, but around 10pm, tattooed and pierced masses arrive for dancing. Very Hip--Cool music, Hot Scene. – I took my sister there for her 21st birthday. It was a little quieter because it was 1. a Wednesday night, and 2. Past 9pm. The guy at the door was friendly (once we got in--the door is a little weird LOL). We seated ourselves amid some great contemporary jazz, and we were soon greeted by a very sweet waitress. Don't Be Mislead By Previous Reviews – We decided on eating and dancing at Aura for a birthday celebration despite the reviews found here at Citysearch. We were greatly rewarded. The food was high quality and unique. We ordered a few appetizers for our group and ended up being so full that we didn't order dinner. The service was a little slow, especially after 9 pm. The atmosphere was amazing and the music wonderfully dance-able. I hope to go again soon. HAVE TO SEE THE RESTROOMS & SMOKING LOUNGE.

One of the better "trendy" joints – I like this place. Most places advertising themselves as trendy think "trendy" means having crap service and a pretentious staff. Aura seems above that. Their clientele is still pretty high-end, but it is a much more relaxed environment. The staff is friendly and fairly quick. I have never been stopped at the door due to overcrowding, and I've never seen it totally packed. All in all, I'd recommend this place to just about anyone, and it caters to all kinds of people. WOW – I was at Aura for the first time last weekend and what a great time. Friday was their "Beach Party" great time. The women were beatiful and the drinks were perfect. The two Bartenders I dealt with were two of the best I have ever had, their names were Eric and Abby. Abby was adorable and very friendly. Eric was great also if I could get through the women standing around trying to get his attention. Probably the best thing was how I was treated by the Manager, I think her name was Jill.
