Beautiful hotel with an excellent downtown Asheville location. Exceptionally clean with sleek modern decor. Great lobby lounging area with fireplace. Hotel staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, from the front desk staff, room attendants, hotel cafe staff and onsite manager. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. Excellent management and the staff are outstanding! Been living here at hotel for 2 months and i have 2 more months left here. When i return from my home in Atl the staff always greets me with welcome home and good to see you! Even under renovation and being the oldest hotel in downtown Ashville its day to day operations flow effortlessly! GM and his crew from top to bottom are respectful and courtesy always and continuously go out of there way to make every guest happy. Highly recommended!
The room was nice. Service was great. The renovation is really loud. The banging was awful. Will go back after the renovation.
My buddy and I arrived on a cold COLD day around 2pm. The front desk was able to get us a room a little bit earlier than the 3pm check in time which was lovely. Especially when you don't want to hang out in a cold car. The room was great with a mini fridge. The beds were amazing and we spent most of our free time watching the 60 inch (I think) high definition tv (that New Orleans v Minnesota game was wild). What we loved the most was the location. Great location, within walking distance of Lexington Avenue which has all of my favorite things in Asheville! My husband and I stayed here for both a mini-honeymoon and our first anniversary. We told Maye at the front desk that it was our anniversary and she sent us a bottle of champagne which was super sweet! Amazing customer service.
There was nothing much we disliked except our fridge didn’t work and was replaced with one that didn’t get cold either. We had a glorious stay. My hubby wasn’t too thrilled with the amount of dogs in the hotel as he isn’t a big animal lover but my daughter played with each and every one. We didn’t try the restaurant as it just didn’t appeal to our tastes. The lobby lights coming on high beam at 10 pm rushed us out or up to the room, which seemed crazy. Great location! Bartender was outstanding without a doubt!
