Very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient, took all the time with me needed even though it wasn't a large purchase. Really appreciate it!
We went here a few months back to purchase a bike for our young son. The guy was pretty aggressive and asked if “I am an involved dad or 99% of dad’s who aren’t involved.” I was pretty much shocked. He then told me how other bike shops don’t teach correct cycling methods, etc. My son is 4. He has a Stridor and we needed an upgrade. I’m an extremely involved dad who went to college for 10 years and am more than willing so help my child learn how to ride a bike. This guy was insulting and I will never return. Zero stars.
After spending countless hours in every shop, in Colorado Springs I decided that ascent was the shop for me. Doug, Justin, Clay, and Pat never made me feel that they had better things to do when I came in with even more questions than my previous visit. It's very obvious these guys live, eat, and breathe mtb's. If they did not have an answer, the other guy in the shop that day did. Each had their own perspective on the bikes I was considering, with how fast bike tech changes these days that an invaluable asset for a shop to ... read more
I went into Ascent looking for tubing for my jogging stroller tires. The gentleman was so helpful and reassured me I didn’t need new tubing and in the process didn’t make me feel like an idiot for assuming my tires weren’t holding air because of tubing issues.Wonderful experience. Kind and considerate staff. Will visit again!
Patrick and Clay have an amazing shop with a fantastic staff. They were extremely professional and cared about getting my children fitted for the bike that works best for their type of riding, as well as the type of terrain they would be riding most. They also were able to address my concerns about them having a little room to grow into the bikes and were able to customize the bikes with some pretty cool accessories. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the market for a new bike from a shop that truly cares about ... read more
This shop has decent prices and usually has friendly, knowledgeable staff but the new little girl who doesn't seem to know much about bicycles -she had to find someone to consult with on every minor step in the repair process- was quite condescending and unpleasant. I don't want to drive out of my way to be talked down to.
By far my local shop of choice and the only one I recommend to friends and family. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful! It’s not hard to tell that it is a business based around their passion for riding!
So we went in to get my son a new tube for his bike I was also in the market for a quality mountain bike. The service was incredible. We were greeted immediately by one of the mechanics and the tire was fixed in 5 minutes. Additionally when I started asking questions about specific bikes, I was met with knowledgeable and friendly service. Would highly recommend this small bike shop for anyone that wants to be treated like a valued consumer and not just a number coming to make a major purchase.
