Dr. Avery is excellent. He is very professional kind and so patient. I had a rotator cuff tear and bicep tear. He said if I listened to his instructions after surgery I would be fine. He was so reassuring and all my anxiety just left. Its been about 7 weeks now--I go to therapy and feel brand new even though I still have recovery time --I will go back to him for sure with any orthopedic problems. He is the best!!!

Dr Avery is very straightforward and personable. He’s also an outstanding surgeon. I’ve had two repairs that went as well as they could. He is completely honest about your condition, his recommendation, and your recovery. He got me in surgery next day after seeing me because it was a priority to get the surgery done soonest.
I have been Dr. Avery patient for more than two years. He performed surgery for broken humerus and is currently supervising my broken ribs situation. Dr. Avery is the best.
Patiently answered many questions at each visit pre- and post-op visit. There was good shared decision making to ensure patient preferences were met. Good bedside manner.
I have had knee injections for painful knees that was making it difficult to get up and down and sometimes to walk. The injections have helped me tremendously. Dr. Avery reviewed x-rays with me explaining everything. I think he is also a very kind, gentle person, as well as a competent physician, and I am glad to have him as my orthopedic MD. I went to see Dr. Avery for a sports injury to my shoulder. He truly listened to my description of the pain and symptoms, administered some tests, and made an diagnosis that ended up putting me on the path to recovery. His bedside manner is excellent as I'm one of those patients who does a lot of research and thus has a lot of questions -- all of which he was willing to answer. I have seen many orthopedic surgeons before, and I highly recommend Dr. Avery, especially for athletes!
