Nestled in the Canton area of Baltimore,Annabel Lee Tavern is a local favorite named after a well known poem by the city's own Edgar Allen Poe. The cuisine is a level above the usual tavern fare, with mouth-watering dishes like the goat cheese fruit plate, pan seared duck breast, rosemary beef tenderloin gyro and a select number of gourmet desserts. According to some, the best part of their menu is the Poe themed cocktail list and variety of local brews. Whether you're coming here for a date with that special someone or just... read more

A true delight! What a Baltimore staple!! I will love this forever.
Awesome crab cakes, i think they changed and improved the recipe. Like the creative mixed drinks and the quiet, older crowd.
Best owner and wonderful staff. BBQ chicken nachos are amazing. One of my favorite bars and atmospheres in the city!
Food and environment was awesome definitely going again lol
The food is incredible, I love the atmosphere, and the staff is personable and so friendly. Their duck fat fries are absolutely out of this world!

Thanks for making our day with this incredible review, Ashley. We appreciate your compliments on everything from our staff to our duck fat fries! See you next time.
This really is the perfect little tavern. The antithesis to every sensory-bloated chain restaurant and 'trying to be a little bit of everything' but good at nothing mega-bar. I came in for the first time last night.......The (Poe-esquian) ambiance and decor scream...'COME IN, eat some delicious food, stay several hours, and have some bourbon. The bartenders are wonderful, friendly, attentive. The TV's are an afterthought (thankfully). I will be back, for sure.
Not only was the staff (including the owner) welcoming but the food was incredible. I had the meatloaf with green beans and subbed the potatoes for the flash fried brussels sprouts with honey (OMG...) and hubbybhad the crab cake sandwich with duck fat fries (best fries he ever had!). My daughter had the mac and cheese and loved it! The decor is awesomely spooky cool. I only wish the were closer to us (in Mass)!
Fabulous..great food and cocktails with great friends!
