Six months into my pregnancy with my son, a doctor I was seeing at Delnor found Transposition of the Great Arteries in his heart. We were set up so my boyfriend and I could stay at the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s, I would give birth at Prentice Women’s Hospital, then my son would be taken to Children’s to have his open heart surgery a few days later. Nuestro hijo fue muy bien atendido y querido en este hospital durante todos sus tratamientos, estamos infinitamente agradecidos por el trato que se le dio a nuestro hijo,ahora el es un sobreviviente más de cancer y cada año estamos participando en esta caminata en honor a el y a todos los niños , Gracias Ann & H Lurie

The case manager Susan Navarro is a real number she got mad at me because she wanted to move my child all the way to merriville Indiana to a children care facility after have a natural disaster and I told her it wouldn’t work for my family she snatched us out of the Ronald McDonald’s house knowing that we are trying to find housing because the house we were in is damaged she has given me a hard time during a hard time
