So happy to have found this clinic and Dr Gigler! We lost our first chicken, Loretta Lynn, today to Mareks disease. The clinic was able to get us right in, provide a quiet room to say our goodbyes and everyone was so kind and comforting! Thank you for everything!
This place is excellent! They treat the pets and clients wonderfully. I love the fact that it also has a "happy visits" program for nervous dogs and provide tours for those who want to scope out the place. As a dog owner, I feel sure of bringing my dog here and know that both myself and my dog will be treated well.
They are wonderful and so helpful. Dr Faulkner was exceptional at providing priceless advice from feeding to potty training our new puppy. They also do everything they can to prevent stress and anxiety for both owners and animals. My 13 week Chi loved the nurses and they even took her for a tour and meet and greet with the other staff. They turned a stressful situation into a pleasant experience for myself and Cookie. We highly recommend!!!
I'm really happy we have such a great avian clinic in the metro! I brought in two sick chickens, emergency-style. Dr. Gigler worked them into her schedule and ended up staying (at least) an hour past closing to ensure my hens got all their tests, results, and medications. The hens are now healthy and doing great! I chatted up a few people in the waiting area and they all spoke so highly of the team at Ankeny Animal and Avian Clinic. I love this clinic. They are all super friendly and treat the animals and the owners like family. Awesome place to go.
I honestly can't say enough good things! With this being my first puppy I have gotten myself they walked me through everything I needed to know in a fun and easy way while my sweet puppy Kimber got to go socialize with everyone there and get her first vaccinations. She came back to me with a huge smile and I left knowing they were the best place I could take my fur baby! I would definitely recommend to anyone in Ankeny looking for a Vet!
