I can't even begin to tell you how amazing the entire staff is. I was more than a little nervous about Kash's (Olde English Bulldogge) first vet visit, but he was miserable and needed some help. They got us in quickly and got him fixed right up. They also made sure we were comfortable about what needed to be done. They were all very welcoming and didn't make us feel rushed at all. The Animal Behaviorist at the AAAC is fantastic. We have a very reactive dog that would not have done well in a group setting. Emily realized this and set up private training (for us as much as Bandit) that allowed him to be successful. Always patient, she took the time to explain what was going on in our dog’s brain, why the strategies would help, and provided feedback to help us master the skills. Ankeny Animal & Avian Clinic was such a great experience for my family! I strongly recommend it, because when I called to set up a check up (our Doxie wasn't acting right and thought she was doing ok but but great) and got one for the end of the week. But after I got home she really wasn't doing great, called back and they got me in within a couple hours! Greatly appreciated it!!
