Excellent, warm, caring staff. Thank you for making our sad day better by taking such good care of us and our poor dog. You were a much needed blessing.

I highly recommend this facility for your emergent pet care needs. I had to take my pug here late Sunday night for a suspected UTI. We were taken back to a room immediately and although we waited a little while to be seen by the doctor, they were very transparent and explained that there was a critical need patient being seen and the doctor would be with us as soon as he could. They offered several options to help determine the issue while we waited to be seen. They ran several tests, did x-rays, gave medications and I felt ... read more

I wish I didn't have to write a review because this isn't a place you choose to visit but I feel the need to give props where props are due. The staff are fabulous and very kind. I felt very informed on what needed to be done to ensure that my pup would be ok. I did not feel pushed or hurried when making a decision either. The vet and staff took the time to make a very stressful situation as calm as could be. As we left, I was given clear directions for aftercare and encouraged to call back with any concern. The staff even t... read more

It's difficult to recommend a place you hope you'll never have to visit again, but that doesn't change the fact that AECC is a priceless place and Central Virginia is better off for it. The staff is wonderful and very compassionate in trying times. It takes a special kind of person to face what they must see every day.

poor I don't think they care about anything but billing. We took our diabetic cat with a sugar too low to register. It was an an hour and a half before he got an iv and glucose into him so naturally he didn't do well. Our dog was sick and not eating. They didn't have a clue but started the usual iv and ran up a 1000 dollar bill. Two days later he was dead from a massive gastric cancer. Unfortunately, the vets in Lburg have abrogated responsibility for after hours care to what appear to be an incompetent uncaring group who se... read more

we took our baby girl😺 here after waking up to her paralyzed and having seizures back to back.they immediately helped us /her and took her back. where they informed us that she had FIP and that there was nothing that could be done.they were very kind to us and didn't charge us a thing. they even gave us a little clay plaque with her paw print and name on it.we were able to take her home and bury her and then a few weeks later we received a beautiful card in the mail for our loss. thank you AECC for being so kind to us.

Took my dog in for a prolapsed urethra. 4 days later it prolapsed again. Another visit, another payment. 9 days later it has prolapsed AGAIN! A specialist says it is because these vets did not perform the procedure correctly. If they could not perform it correctly, then why do it the first time
