Horrific customer service. I was cut off 4 times when I called in and was on hold for over an hour without any resolution. If I could give a 0 I would.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We closed on our home and paid off our mortgage in full on 10/5. Prior to selling our house we had to pay all liens on it or the paperwork wouldn't go through. Because of this, we had to pay $3000+ in county taxes that otherwise would have been covered by escrow. Amerihome paid our tax bill after we already paid it, so they were refunded the same day, 10/5. When the county refunded our tax bill they did it in a lump sum, and I was given the amount that I had to reference (approx $205,000).... read more

The idiots never responded to my emails, they are still charging me PMI even though I have LTV of 44%. They have no customer service!! The "service" is absolutely unacceptable. Quite possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. I have received different answers from every representative I have spoken with, after being on the phone for over 30 minutes of course, with no progress towards my problem (on multiple occasions). OMG!! The worst mortgage company ever. They told me to file paperwork with them in March, told me to send documents. I sent in every single document and application and they always failed to help me. Every time I would call in the representative never knew what is going on and what happened in the past. They kept telling me fax same information and I did over and over again. Worst company to have a mortgage through. They too upped my loan by exactly $1006 for the year stating my escrow was short due to house insurance, but the totals i have dont add up to that total. I have also had a recent water damage claim check sent to them to deal with per their process through insuranceclaimscheck.com and they continually fail to do their job and process my paperwork that they require to release my money that doesn't belong to them that came from my house insurance. AmeriHome bought my loan within a month after Closing on my townhome. All insurances are covered through my high HOA dues that I pay monthly with the exception of my contents within policy that I have separate and is paid through my escrow. Amerihome has been given all proof of insurance’s from my insurance carrier numerous times now. Son was sick for 3 weeks.Got behind on payment.They would not accept a partial payment.Wanted to review my account for a repayment program that only made a bad situation worse if you did the repayment plan. Extra 200+ a month or more.Account was only 2 weeks behind. Made my payment then they reported missed payment to Equifax. Credit score went down at least 90 points thanks to them. Furious right now is not the word.

Horrible company. Extremely poor customer service. Very unhelpful. Beware. They will steal your payments, misapply them, lie to you, then scam you for more money.
