Amerihome is not the worst mortgage company to deal with. They are the absolute worst of ANY company to deal with. I can not in good conscience even give them a single star. There is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing that would qualify as a saving grace about this company. They hold the record in my book as far as poor customer service, hold times (1 1/2 hours on one call), agents who are unequipped to help with some of the issues, and complete lack of return calls and follow up. There phone system is ridiculous. You have to fight through lengthy automated menu message after menu message to get to the one you want. And even then, you can't do anything. The website says online payments are unable to be processed at this time and to call to number to do a phone payment, which is then, not even an option. I literally am trying to give you people money.

Needed an address to mail an insurance check for endorsement. Spent over an hour on hod for Customer service and was then transferred to Claims for another 15 minutes. The woman I spoke with was barely able to speak English and then would not give me an address unless I gave her the damage code the insurance adjuster assigned to the claim. I told her it was Wind and Water damage amd she said unless she had the code, which I didn't have, she wouldn't give me an address. I reached out multiple times to have a form filled out to resubmit my MCC after I refinanced with Amerihome. Not only has nobody responded to my actual messages, but anytime I go into the live chat and ask about it, the rep immediately disconnects our chat. I would never refinance with Amerihome again nor would I recommend anyone use them. They have the absolute worst customer service ever.

STAY AWAY! As most posts on this page, I have experienced the same things: horrible customer service, they do everything in their power to make your payment late (even if you pay on time), staff NEVER knows anything, calls are at least an hour long (50 minutes of them being on hold), and I could go on for days. As of now, I have talked to 7 different staff members in a 3.5 hour span trying to take care of a payment they said was processed back in January 2nd & I just found out it has not been processed. This is by far the WORST company and customer service I have ever dealt with. I have been overcharged since Jan 1 of this year and have spent over 3 weeks now calling DAILY to try to get the issue resolved. Not only can NO ONE explain to me why I'm being charged extra, but no supervisor will call me back. It is ridiculous that I have to take hours out of my day to resolve an issue that THEY created. So please do your research and do NOT use this company. You will 100% regret it.

Do not use this mortgage company. They are thieves! My mortgage is now closed and they refuse to answer my requests as they have not returned my taxes worth of $6,500. The tax collector claim they have never received the funds from AmeriHome. AmeriHome is withholding my funds and do not want to help in any way. My current mortgage company Caliber is amazing as they try to help me get my money back. Worst costumer service I have ever seen. I have called 5 times for a new escrow analysis. I am on hold over 45 minutes each time. Every time I am told something completely different.
