Amerihome is the WORST mortgage company that I have ever done business with. My husband and I are veterans and Amerihome requires us to resubmit our disability tax exemption information every year and then we are billed taxes we shouldn't be paying and it took over 4 months for them to resolve it last year. This time we are going through it, we are given the run around and told different completion dates every time we call. They are unprofessional, dishonest and I'm honestly not sure how they're still in business.
My mortgage was bought by AmeriHome and I have tried to set up auto pay 3 times and it is saying the name on the account does not match the mortgage. But they let me make a one time payment every month. I am going on 3 months of making manual payments and now I cannot log into my account !
We just purchased our home and the loan was sold to AmeriHome. I pay my mortgage weekly, which has never been an issue with any of my previous lenders. However, AmeriHome just sent me a nastygram saying that I'm not allowed to pay anything less than what is due and they are going to return all of my weekly payments. I also received a note from my insurance company that they did not pay my insurance on time from my escrows, so they billed me directly. I already hate AmeriHome.
Would be zero stars if I could. They purchased my mortgage and have been absolutely horrible to deal with. Have set up automatic payments three times, it works one month then the next it does not and they assign late fees. Trying to get through on the phone is impossible calls bounce around and you finally get disconnected. DO NOT USE!!!
DO NOT let Amerihome buy your mortgage. They will buy a mortgage and then refuse to provide customer service on the mortgage. Even post bankruptcy, they will flag your loan and block all online access to the loan. This makes it impossible for you to service your loan. They refuse to provide customer service on the phone after they flag it and they will treat you like a criminal and that they are a debt collection agency... This company AmeriHome is very unprofessional and employs unethical business practices. My mortgage was sold to them in July 2021 and as part of my mortgage payment, they collect additional funds each month to keep in escrow to pay my property taxes. However, AmeriHome is not paying my property taxes. They say they don't have a tax bill but they're supposed to pull the property tax information from the taxing authority, which is their responsibility to do. We refinanced our home with SeaTrust mortgage in 2020 and it was sold to AmeriHome Mortgage. We set up our monthly mortgage draft so that we would pay the specified amount to escrow each month with our mortgage payment. AmeriHome was supposed to be taking money out of escrow and paying our home insurance with it. They were taking money out of escrow but it was not being put towards our insurance. I wish I could give less than 1 star. My mortgage was sold to Amerihome. This is the WORST company that I have ever had the displeasure of giving my money to. Customer service is nonexistent. If you can manage to get a human on the phone they won’t be able to help. I always make my payments on time, they take the money from my account within a few days, but they drag their feet “processing” the payment and applying it to my account and then send delinquency letters as if I never paid. DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT FINANCE WITH THIS COMPANY. We bought our new home 2yrs ago and we originally financed with another company but later we were switched over to Amerihome not even a month later. Dealing with this company has been hell. One representative will tell you one thing and another will tell you something else and after it is all said and done, they treat you like it is your fault the problem started.
