I want to refinance just to get away from this awful company! My escrow is over funded and I have requested them to analyze my account and they are dragging their feet. They are breaking the law at this point. Horrible company!

Recently in 2020, my load transferred from GreenState Credit Union to AmeriHome. I see couple of issues regarding my Escrow, I have been waiting from last 2 months but thought to call and make corrections by calling customer service. Here the story begins: I have called on 2/12 and spoke to Employee #0300, his name is James. The worst person ever I saw in my life. Employee #0300 James won’t let you talk and put your concerns. Amerihome is not the worst mortgage company to deal with. They are the absolute worst of ANY company to deal with. I can not in good conscience even give them a single star. There is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing that would qualify as a saving grace about this company. They hold the record in my book as far as poor customer service, hold times (1 1/2 hours on one call), agents who are unequipped to help with some of the issues, and complete lack of return calls and follow up. Whenever they tell you, you can refinance through FHA, remember! You will be paying fha insurance in addition to your home owners insurance so that the mortgage company is covered and not you. If you've had a bankruptcy in the last 4 years, I would recommend conventional. Do research before refinancing. Just my opinion Jeanie Nardozzi

If I could give lower than one star, I would. I have never interacted with a business of this sort with worse customer service. Impossible website, cannot reach by phone, chat seldom works. Truly: AVOID THIS COMPANY.

AmeriHome company is the worst mortgage company ever! The CSR's are rude and incompetent, they never give you a straight answer are the same information twice, its different every time I called. They have been receiving my checks ever month, not applying them to my principle and now charging me late fees and reporting to the credit bureau I haven't maid payments in a year! This company is horrible. They have owed me money for over 45 days and have been giving me the run around for months. Their customer service is atrocious. They hang up on you and lie to you. They have told me week after week that they will refund the money owed to me and its been 45 days. They have kept almost $2000 of my money and refuse to return it or let me speak to anyone that can help me. I have called and sent written requests. Stay away from this company at all costs.
