I bought a couch from this business on September 2nd and paid $500 for the couch and delivery fee. I told them it was important that I get the couch before October 18th, and they assured me it would be delivered on October 17th. They also told me to call closer to my delivery date to see if it could be delivered sooner. DO NOT PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM VALUE CITY FURNITURE. I bought an over $2k bedroom set from them at their Falls Church, VA store. They showed up to deliver the bed Last Thursday (9/28). The delivery guy announces that they have the wrong size slats for the bed and that someone else will bring it later that day and finish setting up my bed. Took over a half hour of walking around before anyone approached us for help. Given we were the only customers in the store seems a little excessive. Once someone showed up she was very friendly and helpful and we placed our order. The next week we came to pick up or order only to drive home and find we were missing a few pieces. living over 30 minutes away I called ahead for help. I ordered my furniture in April and now it's September. 1st it was in stock than they gave me damaged furniture. I've been waiting for the new furniture for ever. I still have nothing. I call and want a full refund yet the management tells me they will call me back in 10 minutes every time. I emailed corporate also and nothing.
I had the worst customer service experience from a employee who claimed to be a "manager" in the *** acceptance program. The manager spoke to me in a condescending tone also hung up on my several times refused to provide corporate number or managers information or employee #to identify him, threatened to come pick up my furniture i will never lease furniture from value city again
My wife and I decided to use my **loan to purchase our first home this past April. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I purchased my bedroom furniture back in April and every month they push my delivery date back for my furniture. I finally did receive parts of my furniture all except the dresser which I was told was being delivered on 8/16/17. First of all, I purchased a sectional couch that was roughly $2200 (including tax and the imaginary insurance) on a 120 days same as cash plan. I tried to pay it off a little every paycheck instead of once a month, but they would not accept any extra payments. They wouldn't allow me to pay more than the required monthly payment.
