Horrible that management knows nothing about the products they have or sell. No matter what the issue all sales are final even if it’s there fault. I had to put together my own furniture that I paid lots of money and insurance for. It’s cheap furniture and a rip off. I financed a bedroom suite the week before Memorial Day. It was supposed to be delivered Monday but was not as something was wrong with their truck. I rescheduled it for Thursday. It was delivered and we set it up. We found the headboard was broken so called to ask for a replacement. They said they could come out again in a week as their driver was on vacation. Wow what a rip off! I went to purchase a chair for $399, and the chair I sat in at the store was not the same chair that was delivered. I called them and they told me it was the same chair, I had no way of returning the item. I am disabled and needed the recliner for easy access. I went thru their finance company America First Finance for 90 days sames as cash. 90 days is July 7, 2023. This is ridiculous how they take advantage of people. American Freight uses American First Finance and they are charging 3x the cost of the furniture I purchased. No one ever breaks down how the payment is set up and just says you pays this amount every month then it’s paid off. For instance, if the bill total was 4500.00 you would think you would pay that off after a year and a half of monthly payments of $400 plus $$. NO! On May 30th my husband and I went into American Freight in San Leandro CA to purchase a gas dryer. We decided on a GE Profile Gas Dryer. We also purchased a Gas Line Hookup Kit and some Teflon Tape. We asked at the time purchase what the return policy was and were told we had four hours to return it. Once we had everything hooked up. We made sure all the connections were hooked up correctly, but it still did not work. We then had PG&E come out and inspect our gas line to make sure that was not the problem. American Freight had a GE dishwasher listed as a FLOOR MODEL. I needed to purchase this model and color to match the refrigerator and stove we purchased about 9 months prior. It was no longer available in a regular store and the only place left that had it in stock was at American Freight. I inspected the dishwasher in the store, and everything looked fine. I am upset with myself for not doing more research into the conpany American Freight. Upon entering the store for the first time and seeing the "******** **** I thought I was in good hands. Apparently this was a false advertising tactic as they just are doing business where ***use to. I have made an almost 6000 dollar order and feel cheated severely.
