Sadly, this is another poor review of American Crafts inadequate customer service. I too emailed customer service and have yet to receive any acknowledgment or help. I also had a bad experience with their Chromatix markers which were purchased new and were dry. Don't risk your good money on this inferior product.

I purchased a Minc Foiling Machine a few months ago, the first time I turned it on it started to smoke profusely and then it sparked inside and turned itself off. It hasn't turned on since. I have contacted the info email twice now and also send an email to Acinfo as well. I would like to hear back from someone ASAP as to what they will do to rectify the situation. I expect the when I spend $130 on a machine that it will at least work when I turn it on.
American Crafts replaced a Jane Davenport Journal for me that had a broken spine, when the replacement came I opened the box it was empty except for 1 paint over pen, the box wasn't sealed which leads me to believe that it was lost in shipping, I called American Crafts and they immediately sent out another that I received safe and sound. EXCELLENT customer service!!! I will buy from them again!
I ordered the Knock Out border punch base plate and separate zig zag punch. The zig zag punch itself fitted easily into the base plate, but the wing guides were about 2mm too wide for the slots! I spent the best part of an hour with a nail file and steak knife scraping and filing the edges so they'd fit in the spaces! After that initial (rather risky) adjustment, the punch system has been OK.
Love the Vicki Boutin bags and am very happy you are giving them away.
I hate to write a bad review, as I'm sure there are many great products by American Crafts- however, I was gifted a sealed set of Chromatix markers recently, and upon testing them, found 12 out of 30 markers in the set to be somewhat to completely dried out! Since I know that these are expensive sets, I am particularly surprised and disappointed. And I had a project planned for today for my daughter's friend's birthday. :-(
