It was the most enjoyable evening of my life! The food was out of this world and enhanced by the perfect service we got! I will have to do this again!
Dining at Alinea was amazingly delicious and fun. The food, service and attention to detail by the chef and staff was impeccable. We came in to celebrate my birthday and it was such an amazing experience. I even got a happy birthday champagne with a distilled mix of a betty crocker cake. It is truly something special and we hope to try it again for the next seasonal menu change. Thank you, Alinea! �
For being one of the best restaurants in the city, and catering to high class guests, you would think they would do a bit of a background check for their employees. While dining, I was shocked to see melecio castillo, a dish washer, whom I know personally to have a history of domestic violence, theft and drug use. Probably couldn't even pass a drug test today and a simple background check would show a history of domestic abuse and theft. Alinea is increadible. I had the biggest smile on my face through the whole dining experience. Every dish was impeccable, with increadible attention to every detail. Flavor combinations were playful and in some ways I think the check just wanted to play with my head, providing flavor and texture combinations that were incredibly imaginative. The paired wines were spot on, complimenting every course perfectly. I simply can't not put into words how good my experience was!
Hannah and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary last night with Alinea Restaurant in Chicago. Rated the #1 restaurant in the world by Elite Traveler, Chef Grant Achatz deserves every accolade he receives. Real people understand that great cooking and flavors are an art and does not require ridiculous combinations, minuscule portions, and outrageous prices on trendy plates! As a man passionate about food and cooking, places like this offends me!
