Lack of follow-up for patient care sucks! Visited Dr. Dennis Abella in Elk Gove 2 weeks ago - received no Patient Summary for my visit because he didn’t enter anything into a computer during visit...he does that at night...little good for a patient. Ordered an x-ray done that evening. Next he ordered an MRI, done Monday this week - 48 hours for results. 78 later no follow-up from office - 2 calls to their Triage nurse unanswered - office closes at 3pm on a Friday. Had an endoscopy and the nurses and my doctor were great!! The nurses made me feel extremely comfortable and reassured me! One even gave me a hug! Great hospital �
My wife brought our type 1 diabetic daughter in last night per her endocrinologist's request. She has had high blood glucose levels for multiple days, with chills, nausea, pain, but no temperature. After multiple hours waiting in ER they were brought back with three other groups to an overflow area and room. This is were our nightmare's begin. Hi there! My name is Emily (Bonafide) Ettelt. I was seen in Alexian Brothers Emergency Room on February 5th and 6th, this past week. I presented with symptoms of a severe cold or flu virus, and the necessary tests were given on the date of February 5th. On that day your staff was kind and compassionate, and I felt I receieved very good care. I was given tests to rule out flu and pneumonia, and both were negative. If you thinks your safe at the hospital, think again. This happened to me at Amita Alexian Bros Hospital in Elk Grove Village on thanks giving, except I was. Dropped on my face and head 3 times while a Officer A. Garza of the Elk Grove Village IL Police department watch and did nothing to come to my aid and lied about what really happened on the report, he violated my civil rights but not protect me.
