more than I expected – It's nice to find a hair salon where you don't have to worry about the outcome, and you know the work is consistently great, the staff is consistently welcoming, helpful and very nice. And where your hair is treated like it's the most important thing about you. My color job is amazing every time and the richness cannot be described in words, but is definitely noticed by those around me. And they think it's natural. Hats off to Alexander G. for sure.

Great Place for Style and Color – Went there for the first time just the other day.....they know what they're doing and you leave with a smile. Very friendly!!! Clean and fast.
not worth the hype – Recently tried this salon and I must say that it is way over rated. Not sure how salons are rated on Citysearch, but this one is way out of line. My highlights are far too blonde without tone and texture or lowlights. Like white blonde without any depth. This is not L.A. and someone needs to tell these guys. My hair is damaged as a result...... not recommended!!!!! Try some of the other salons... not this one.
color expertise – Two months ago I went to a supposedly "highly rated" salon to have my hair done, but the hairdresser spoke about themself the whole way throught the appointment and if that wasn't bad enough, my hair ended up being brassy/orangey. I was in tears. Then I went to another "top" salon yet instead of correcting my color, they only made it just as bad. But they claimed it was good? An Englishman In S.F. – Alexander Godson and company have brought a world class salon/barber to the richmond district. I love the experince of going, being pampered, and then walking out with that international cut that would be in vouge from the Village to the streets of Paris or an ally way in Millan. In always leave looking and feeling great!
Great Salon! – After having my haircut and highlights/low lights done by Sarah I am ecstatic! I've received several compliments, including a few from people who thought my new hair color was my own natural color. It's not uncommon for me to shed a few tears after a hair cut/color, but my experience was quite the opposite here. Sarah is unintimidating, conscientious and truly talented. If you are as sensitive about your hair as I am, go here. You'll be in great hands!
At Last.... – After looking for MANY years I have finally come upon a salon that listens to me while at the same time offering their expert advice. The collaborative efforts of Alex and Noel were beyond my expectations and lended themselves to a perfect style and exactly what I wanted. Alex did my color and Noel did the cut. The whole experience was so very pleasurable and I cannot wait until my next appointment.
Internationally known – I travel many major cities--New York, L.A., S.F., Chicago, Copenhagen, Milano, Munich, London.....hands down this salon is one of the best. I make sure to book my appointment before coming to S.F. because I always know I'll get a great look and first-class service.
