A group of 30 dined st the restaurant for dim sum. It was delicious, well served and the setting beautiful. The staff was attentive to our desires. Plus we saw the largest moon cake ever. Ambiance perfect.
We booked the Ala Moana as we had been before for a couple of nights and it is convenient. Rooms small, view of car park but a reasonable price. Facilities were good and the shower was best I have had in a long time... almost a massage shower? Easy walk to Waikiki either by road or beach and road. My complaint is booking in. We arrived in Honolulu at 6 in the morning and realised we couldn't check in till 3pm. Ok.... but couldn't we organise everything so we could just come back and get key... not till rooms are done! I did not stay at this hotel, I was just waiting for my tour bus with family when we decided to check the store in the hotel and met the wonderful lady working there. I cannot remember her name, but she was so friendly and her laugh was infectious as well as her smile. She spoke knowledgeably on the items in the shop and was super helpful overall. We were there last Saturday the second of September I believe. I just wanted to say thank you to this lady for brightening up my day.
Homeless man came and helped himself to cookies on the table perhaps it would be a goid idea to have security guards posted at entrances
