you'll leave feeling happy – My husband just ate here again tonight and we love this place. The ceviche martini has become one my favorite starters - I can tell I'm going to start craving it. We always find the staff relaxed and friendly. It makes a nice change from the "attitude" you get at a lot of places. The braised short ribs and mac and cheese is to die for. Get the peanut butter pie for dessert - you won't regret it. I do always end up eating more chips and salsa than I plan to, but that's pretty much my only compaint... read more
Best margaritas ever!! – First restaurant I've been to in a long time where I couldn't find one thing to complain about!!! My husband and I had dinner there tonight and I'm delighted to say everything was perfect from start to finish. Was my first time dining at agave. We were seated right away at a table upstairs that over looked the open kitchen. (really cool) We were promptly brought homemade chips and salsa, the waitress suggested a margarita called "the higgins" a house favorite, she said, and now we know why! Delicious... read more
Best service, best fried chicken, best margarita! – this place is fantastic. sometimes it's too crowded but the food is well worth the wait. i've never seen a kitchen like this one before -- it's a small open kitchen and they work SO FAST. I came in because my friends told me how great the bartender was. So we ate at the bar and she made our visit just perfect. Seriously one of the most entertaining, delicious, and fun experiences i can remember. i would highly recommend the fried chicken -- and make sure you talk to the bar... read more
Best Service in Atlanta – I came in with a large group for a company holiday party. I thought the building was kind of unassuming from the outside, but it really felt warm and cozy inside, especially with the fireplace. Our server seemed to have a wealth of food knowledge and seemed very confident in answering any questions, and this is a tough group with a lot of questions. We were served family style from an array of shared entree dishes and sides. I had a spring roll, quesodilla, and some salad for my appetizers and knew ... read more
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED – My experience before now has been great. My husband and I even took some friends with us who had never come in before. The food was as consistently great as before. Our server was really nice and sweet, even referring to us as "guests" giving it a cozy appeal too. We really feel at home when we come to agave, or at least like we're visiting with a relative. Everything was great until we were leaving. We were kind of in a rush and needed change for the parking valet while the men went out to get our c... read more
My new favorite restaurant! – Several of my co-workers, and I met at Agave this past weekend for dinner and drinks. All I can say is "WOW" The absolute best margarita's I have ever had, anywhere! (No exaggeration) I chose the special of the day "Chili rubbed Sea Scallops, with cheddar, jalepeno stone-ground grits and a very generous side of garlic seared spinach as my entree, Oh My Gosh! This was a culinary master piece! And finally, desserts. We ordered the dessert platter, and sampled every sinfully delicious creation Agav... read more
5 STAR SOUTHWEST FOOD WITHOUT THE 5 STAR PRICES!! – We were treated like royalty at the Agave tonight! We were blown away by the kindness and professionalism of the staff from the time we arrived until the time we left. We were served tonight by Marcus who kindly seated us in the loft area which has a great view of the entire restaurant. Tim, the GM, came over to our table and spoke with us, making us feel very welcome. We had the chicken quesadillas, pulled pork tacos, fried chicken and enchiladas. Everything was so authent... read more
Love this restaurant!! – l live locally and travel all over the country when l am working, but when l come home to Atlanta, this is where l head for. The atmosphere is warm friendly, perfect lighting and consistently excellent food. I feel this is the best restaurant in Atlanta.
Desert Hideaway in the Heart of Atlanta – My wife and I went to Agave this weekend on the recommendation of a friend who considers himself a regular. We knew we had to try it eventually. We were thoroughly surprised. it's in kind of a plain building from the outside, but once inside it feels like some kind of adobe in the new mexico desert. It was a really cool atmosphere, nice lighting, and kind of rustic. We had the shrimp appetizer and calamari. Absolutely amazing! I never expected it to be that great right from the start... read more
