Just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of downtown Atlanta, this hidden treasure provides a great escape for those who just want to relax and eat southwestern food. Enjoy the patio, with a drink or two if you wish. The cooking is eclectic and fresh here, from the spectacular seafood (try the stuffed trout tomatillo) to the shredded port tostadas. Open seven nights, Agave Restaurant attracts plenty of locals and guests from the big city.

Love this restaurant!! – l live locally and travel all over the country when l am working, but when l come home to Atlanta, this is where l head for. The atmosphere is warm friendly, perfect lighting and consistently excellent food. I feel this is the best restaurant in Atlanta.
Desert Hideaway in the Heart of Atlanta – My wife and I went to Agave this weekend on the recommendation of a friend who considers himself a regular. We knew we had to try it eventually. We were thoroughly surprised. it's in kind of a plain building from the outside, but once inside it feels like some kind of adobe in the new mexico desert. It was a really cool atmosphere, nice lighting, and kind of rustic. We had the shrimp appetizer and calamari. Absolutely amazing! I never expected it to be that great right from the start... read more
AGAVE - GIVEN 5 STARS BY 3 NEW ORLEANS WOMEN – My Mom and her friends from New Orleans visited recently. I took them to Agave the first night they arrived Atlanta. They all just raved about the food, the service, the atmosphere, the wine and tequila selections, etc... And believe me, if Agave passed the food test from my Mom, the biggest critic in the world, that says a lot! We all ordered something different (tenderloin medallions, seared tuna, shrimp and meatloaf) and every dish was fantastic. We also shared the dessert pl... read more
Excellent Service, tasty food – Agave is a great restaurant with many tasty options on the menu.. Great food is hard to find, but matching it with excellent service is even more difficult and Agave does both wonderfully. The wait staff is friendly and informative. Highly recommended to anyone who likes southwestern food or in the market of trying something new. The prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for, great food and great service.
Great Customer Service~Terrible Wine Pairing! – I went to Agave for the first time last night with a group of 7. I had been looking forward to this for a month! So many people said such wonderful things about Agave. The menu and wine pairing was chosen for us. The food was good with the exception of the Lamb. It had so much rosemary, I felt like I bit into a Christmas tree! The wine selections were awful and apparently the Chef's choice. I was so disappointed. Even those at the table who were not wine conissour's were making... read more
Love It! – The food and atmosphere was amazing and the margaritas are unbelievable!!!! I took my mother to dinner there when she visited for mother's day weekend. The service was great and everything was decently priced. My mom was very blessed and impressed with the location. It ws extremely loud in the restaurant but we had a two seater in the corner and were able to enjoy conversations. I would definitely go back. My recommendation is to make reservations. Thank God we did. The wait was insane!
Agave left me Agape! – When I was ten, my parents dragged my stepbrother Ronny and I on a hellish trek through the southwest. What should have been a scenic journey through the eroded landscapes of New Mexico and Texas turned into a personal Trail of Tears. I had a nasty case of the chicken pox, and rather than quarantine their sick child, my parents propped me in front of endless cacti, adobes and indigenous people. I remember The Alamo, but only because Ronny held me down in the courtyard. I hacked up dust the rest of the ... read more
Never a disappointment !!!!!!!! – We have eaten at Agave several times (10-12) I've lost count. It never disappoints!! We don't live in town and it's well worth the drive. Our service is always awesome, we have taken all our friends and out of town guests. Try the Pom-Marg. it is incredable and they have a great beer selection not to mention the Tequilla. I have eaten most everything on the menu and have loved every dish. Try them all !!! If the fish tacos aren't on the menu you can ask for them. Enjoy, we sure have !!!
Great Food and &80 Tequila Shots – Try it.... You will love it until you pass out.... The most extensive selection in the city.. The food is great but the Tequila is better!
