Warm Atmosphere / Always Welcoming – When you are looking to eat in-town, this place does not suffer from the usual in-town formula. No "dance club dining issues", No "Server can't pronounce half the dishes issues", No "I am the hostess, dressed in a bikini and I will ignore you" issues. The staff here try very hard to make you feel special, and on most days they do. The food varies from very good to great. No microwave on premise, everything cooked to order from raw ingredients. Agave only has a small cooking area, so don't... read more

Southwestern Food with Flair – Yum Yum Yummy I got Agave food in my tummy. Agave is alright with me....a fresh, fun, upscale southwestern menu, if you go in the Winter be sure to sit by the warm and cozy fireplace, it's a sure winner. My favorite dish, Pan Seared Chilean Salmon over a roasted red pepper sauce...to die for! The wait staff is very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. One of Atlanta's finest Southwestern restaurants.

Great margaritas, great entree choices, friendly atmosphere and servers – Love Agave! Margaritas are always tasty and strong. Highly recommend most of the entrees (Anejo shrimp is my fave!). Cute Southwest atmosphere and the hosts/servers always seem SO happy to see you. Great place for big groups or birthdays.

Wonderful Birthday Spot... – From the service, to presentation, to wine selection, to menu, to atmosphere, this place was the perfect place to dine for my birthday. The atmosphere is more romantic on the inside versus out on the enclosed patio. The Blue Corn Chicken Enchiladas are a highly recommended dish! The servers deserve big applause as they were really on top of everything including knowing what wines to suggest with your meal. I must say I will need to visit again soon so that I can try other items on the menu that l... read more

Best Maragritas – Very few restaurants are able to harmonize authentic southwestern ingredients and techniques sucessfully. This establishment very much surpassed my expectations from the get go by serving up excellent margaritas with top shelf liquor. Our server Roberto was very knowledgeable and extremely helpfull when it came to the little things. The salsa was excellent, i highly recomend the blue chips. The tenderloin medallion was very enjoyable and their flan had a perfect balance of sweetness.

Excellent Experience! – My girlfriend and I went to Agave for the first time this weekend and it was an unforgettable experience. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in the door until we returned home. First we were greeted by the best chips and salsa Ive had in a long time; we then got an order of guacamole that went perfectly with the chips. Then looking through the drink list, we were blown away by the choices of tequilas that were available. We started with the top self margarita, which was served in a big g... read more

not that great – This place just isn't that great and it was pretty expensive. Had a very hard time finding something I would consider eating on the menu. The margaritas aren't very good either. I can't imagine having a reason to give this place another chance.

Could be better – Purchased a loft nearby recently and tried Agave because it is close and the citysearch reviews sounded good. The look reminded me of a college bar hang out from the 80's not a southwestern restaurant. Chips and salsa were excellent, although small portion and asking for more was not received real well. Food was ok, but small portions and relatively bland for southwestern. I am not a margaritas guru, but I did not think they were good at all. I like fresh juice and this was definitely a mix.

User review by mrjoshua23 – I had heard about the place from a bunch of friends so I took a date there. and WOW!! It was so romantic (the date went well). Our waiter Josh, had the same name but was concious I was on a date and made me look good. Like the only Josh in the room. The tuna was sexy and only one margarita is needed to loosen up. The ambiance is perfect for a first date.
