Solid Experiences – Agave restaurant in Cabbagetown combines good food, experienced service, and a great value. In a city where it is so difficult to find all of these things in the same place, it truly is a diner's Mecca. Granted there are other "good" restaurants in Atlanta, however, Agave strips away the sterility sometimes involved with the dining experience. Never before have I been in a restaurant that provides such a cool atmosphere and is accommodating at the same time. I love the lamb rack, the tuna, and the great w... read more

Tasty, fun SW food – We LOVE SW food and were thrilled to find a well recommended place near our B&B. AGAVE did not disappoint. Service was attentive, margaritas were good (though we're used to making our own at home). Food was seasoned and flavored nicely -- I had the tuna (prepared rare with lime -- very good) and my hubby had the shrimp. They were a good size, cooked nicely and quite tasty. The dessert however was the best! We had the key lime pie -- we like to compare! This key lime was made with gingersnap crust, a VERY... read more

Did Not Enjoy Agave – My daughter was visiting and we wanted to go to a more casual place to catch up. I found Agave on City Search and most of the reviews sounded good. But unfortuantely we did not like anything about this restaurant. The food had no zip, the portions were small and while I do not drink, my daughter said it was the worst margaritta she ever had and did not like the type of glass it was served in. The restaurant looked dirty, but maybe just run down. This would not be a place I would ever want to recommend t... read more

Best food in Atlanta! – I have been twice and will continue to go back and tout this place as my favorite restaurant in Atlanta! The Peachtree margarita cannot be beat, nor can the raspberry margarita cheesecake that is sinful! The red pepper salmon and the shrimp served with jalapeno cheddar cheese grits are also fantastic! Coupons can also be found for Agave so look them up on the internet before you go (they are in the Savvy Shopper). Call ahead for reservations and ask to be seated in the loft or by the fire.

Excellent choice for a date or group! – I visited this restaurant twice....it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious...you have to try the fried chicken, meatloaf, or the spicy shrimp. You won't go wrong with either dish! I went with a group of 15 friends and the service was impeccable. The place has a very nice and quaint ambiance....It's now one of my favorite restaurants to visit. I would go back again....I already have!

Do yourself a favor and go experience Agave! – I went to Agave for dinner. If you are going on a date or just looking for a great place to eat you must try this place. The food is to die for, the margaritas are the best, and the atmosphere is the best! I have been to a lot of resturants in the "city" recently, and Agave is definetly my favorite. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is incredible, and the location in cabbagetown is full of history, and really co... read more

Hidden Treasure – We've lived in the neighborhood for the past nine years and we've always talked about going to Agave but never managed to go there. We finally did this past Sunday and had a fabulous dining experience. We felt welcome from the moment we entered the restaurant. We didn't have reservations and the host couldn't have been any nicer. We got a great seat out on the new pation. Our waitress Christinia was a pleasure and knew the menu inside and out. We ordered the crab cake, avocado & tomato salad, salmon special,... read more

Not Bad – Agave is not bad it is just not good either. This weekend we started with mussels. They were so bad I was afraid to eat them. They were smelly and stringy. We could not and would not eat them, I told the server and she offered to get us another order but I asked if she thought they would be any better and she said that is how they are. I would loved to watch her eat them. Then she did not even offer to taken them off the check. The rest of our meal was ok at best. The best I can say about Agave is their Margaritas ... read more
