Dressed-up Southwestern dishes share a stage with New Mexico standards at this likeable urban cantina in Cabbagetown. – The Scene A tiny open kitchen, a tinier bar and rows of dark, heavily varnished tables are all comfortably squeezed into this attractive shotgun space near the Cotton Mill lofts. Distressed support beams and rough, exposed brick combine with the usual assortment of Navajo artifacts and small Southwestern-themed prints to create a space that's inviting and warm. Service is attentive and extremely friendly. T... read more

Very Diverse Southwestern Menu and Great Food! – Every meal I've ever eaten at Agave has been great. I love the complimentary Salsa. Great dishes are the lamb chops, chile stew (very spicy) and Red Pepper Salmon. You won't be disappointed. There's a reason they've been in business for 7 yrs. It's 7 yrs of consistent food quality and service. It's a nice ambience as well.

Excellent flavors, great service, best margaritas – I have been here on a number of occasions and have always been impressed with the consistent quality of the food, the service and the margaritas. The food is amazing- not for the light of heart and those who are afraid of real flavor. Lots of options for people who eat red meat and those who don't. Well-balanced flavors. The bar is also great with many options for tequila, wine and margaritas- not weak pours either. The service is also uniformly good- well-informed staff, c... read more

Spicy Cayenne Fried Chicken In Cabbagetown! – We love the whole funky Cabbagetown/Grant Park area. And of course spicy Souithwestern cuisine, with a strong salt rimmed Margarita. Agave is all that and more. If you don't like spicy/hot, like the previous reviewer, stay away, The place is small, hip, and a strong neighborhood vibe. The Margarita's, especially the Texas Gold, are so addictive. Just two, and watch out. The menu is spicy, hot, and more hot. We usually just start with a tasty bowl of pozole. Laden with strips of p... read more

Not for enemies of the spice – Everything on the menu is hot and spicy! I realize this is a southwesern style restaurant, but after many minutes going over the menu with the waiter and explaining that I cannot eat spicy, and being assured that my tenderloin entree would be perfect...it came out so hot my mouth was on fire. They were very accomodating and the chef came out with a plain grilled fish (no flavor at all) and he assured me it would be fine. The fish was bland and the cucumber salad it sat on was extremely hot and ... read more

Always a treat – I have dined at Agave 3 different times and have been more than pleased with each visit. It can be busy during peak hours but I found the waitstaff to be courteous and accomodating. Personally, I like the atmosphere of the place and the fact that it is not well known. It is a perfect date or romantic dinner spot.

Great Early Bird Special – Sign up for the Agave newsletter and they have a $10 entree special before 6. I have eaten there a couple of times and the food has been served in very generous portions and was very delicious. Dishes are southwestern cuisine. Eat on the patio or inside if you want to be fancy.

W2 - warm and wonderful! – This place is special - the staff is amoung the finest in altanta. The food is very good and consitant which is a real plus in my book. As someone who has been a customer since day one - I am happy to see the enevitable expansion take place and pleased that they have not changed and are still a very welcoming warm establishment. The wine list has improved and is very reasonable! If you want a special night/an event GO HERE! You will be surprised!
