Just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of downtown Atlanta, this hidden treasure provides a great escape for those who just want to relax and eat southwestern food. Enjoy the patio, with a drink or two if you wish. The cooking is eclectic and fresh here, from the spectacular seafood (try the stuffed trout tomatillo) to the shredded port tostadas. Open seven nights, Agave Restaurant attracts plenty of locals and guests from the big city.

They just stopped the Sunday Brunch which we really enjoyed. I wish they would bring it back. On Sunday the had a small jazz band that played and it would be great to have them play at night.
New in Town - do not miss – Having only lived in Atlanta a short while I was becoming rather depressed by the style and manner of bars and restaurants here. Many had grand ideas but were unable to follow through on simple things like friendliness, cleanliness, and good value for money. Agave has restored my faith and I look forward to returning.
Hip Restaurant with good food – Agave has great food with a southwestern flair. It also has a great Tequila bar with the best margaritas!
Agave is a consistent #1 – I have never been disappointed with Agave and I have been several times. The food is always great and creative and the service is the best in the city!
go agave!! – could it get any better? each time i fall in love more.first the greeting at the door, smiles, the staff makes you feel at home, which is differnt from the "trendy" new places. never am i disappointed, the nightly special is always a hit. don't fill up on chips, they have great homemade desserts.let's not forget the margaritas.i can see why they have won awards.great wine list (prices can't be beat) grab a friend and check this place out and you'll understand what the buzz is about.good job agave
Southwestern Sublime – When a business associate recommended having dinner at Agave based simply on logistics, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. It's great to know Atlanta has Southwestern cuisine. The last time I had Southwestern food this good was a visit to Tucson, AZ! The salsa is rich and spicy and I recommend the Smoked Chicken Santa Fe Enchiladas however, my associate's Shredded Pork Tostadas looked just as good. Chances are what ever you order you won't be disappointed.
Wildly inconsistent – I never know what to expect when I visit Agave. I want to like the place, I really do! Its patio is lovely and the margaritas are good. The food is another matter. One night the entrees will be fresh and tasty, and the next the quality of a second-rate Rio Bravo. The last time we went, my lukewarm shredded pork tacos were smothered in an unappetizing red sauce and congealed cheese, and the black beans that came on the side were inedible. For $12 and up an entree, I expect better.
