I’ve had several great visits to AFC Gunbarrel, but last night was disappointing. The posted hours say they close at 8 pm. Got there at 7:52. I realize I was pushing my luck a little bit, but one of the staff members dramatically looked at her watch when I walked in and gave me a look like “what do you think you are doing?” They then said they were seeing no more patients. I have used AFC Urgent Care on Gunbarrel many times in the past two years. I am always impressed with their promptness, and level of care. They call the day after you are there to see how you're doing! Highly recommend.

I had a terrible experience at the Gunbarrel location today. The woman who checked me in asked if I wanted a strep rest without any information or consultation. I then saw the doctor who looked in my throat (not my ears or nose) and asked me if I thought I had strep or the flu. I asked him what he thought, as I had just paid $130 for a MEDICAL diagnosis. He essentially told me it could be the flu or just a cold, and I could get some Tylenol from the drug store. I was flabbergasted by his complete lack of apparent medical exp... read more

Don't waste your time. Money wasted. I had to go to another walk in clinic a few days later. Prior to a different office visit, I made a phone call to them trying to get some answers and different medication for relief. And the nurse who I spoke to was more worried about getting me off the phone than listening. I assume bc they were busy. (Lady said when I called the front desk to be transferred). I arrived when they opened, filled out paperwork and was seem within 15 min! The nurse was very sweet and professional and Dr. Kimberly Pickett was amazing!! She was so sweet and upbeat and explained to me im detail what was going on and how we are going to treat it. I highly recommend this facility!!!!
