A BIG Ripoff! I replaced an LP tank with a brand new one owned by me. All I needed was to hook up the tank to existing lines. Call center said service call would be **** and if service was more than that amount, I'd be credited it--not true! Tech came out yesterday, looked at the tank, and said he needed parts and would return this morning. (Total of 5 min onsite). Tech came out yesterday, hooked up the tank, had to insert an extension of about 4" and hooked it up, no pressure check was accomplished. (Total of maybe 20 min).... read more

A-1 American installed a new HVAC system in our home in 2017. Since that time we've repeatedly had to have repairs to this system. Most recently we returned from vacation to find that our a/c unit wasn't working. We contacted our home warranty company and a-1 American immediately. They're response was to try yet again to charge us for a service call. In 2017 they had come out and charged for a service call and indicated that there was possibly a refrigerant leak. Mr. John ******* from A-1 Plumbing is the best plumber I've worked with in all my years of home ownership. He repeatedly provided 5-star service and repair to multiple plumbing issues (hot water heater, toilet, bath tub). Do not use this company! They quoted me a price and dropped the price less than half when I told them it was too high and could not afford the service. I told them to proceed. They turned off my water, left for a couple of hours to go get a part, come back to install but determined it was a different problem that was a simple fix. They still wanted to charge me for the repair and parts that they mis-diagnosed and NEVER DID THE WORK. A-1 American sent a technician to perform a fairly simple water service connection and after studying the work area and calling a supervisor, quoted a ridiculous sum of money to perform the job. He quoted of dollars for a few dollar job. Another plumber had to be called in to perform the work, which was completed quickly and for a fraction of the A-1 price.

I have nothing but praise for A1 American! We had a stopped up drain for two weeks and after three other companies came and di nothing to fix it, I called A 1. Brian and Nick from A 1 showed up in less than an hour after I called. after reviewing the situation and analyzing it, they came up with a plan of action they could execute that day! If I could leave zero stars I would. They sent out a man named William who sub contracts for A1 who gave us a quote we filled out paperwork gave my credit card info. William took 4 days to complete the work but was only at our home for a total of less than 5 hours.....so it should of been completed in one 5hour day. Willam was rude when we asked questions he also installed a different unit than quoted and said we had to pay 800.00 dollars more.
