I would have never signed a lease with this company had I been smart enough to come here to read these comments first. My son has no air conditioning. Roaches everywhere...DISGUSTING and unclean environment. I am preparing to get legal help as I can't seem to comprehend that this is okay. This is a whole new level of slum lord.. I am saddened and appalled as I have spoken to many people over the phone and onsite and unfortunately I believe they are well versed with many lies and brush offs. This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST!! My son has lived here through a water main break that took over 60 days to fix his unit and when it was complete they did not clean up after their vendors. Now his AC went out on Friday and we are being told the on call maintenance worker is only for Emergencies and AC being out with a heat advisory issued is not considered an emergency.

Management spoke with ****************** on Monday, August 28th,about the confusion related to the ** repair. The unit has been repaired and she is satisfied with the result of the repair.

Good day to all it may concern, I am a resident at Avant and my vehicle was towed without notice or reason. I came home to find my vehicle missing, only to learn that the manager of the complex had it towed yet he never notified me of an issue or concern regarding my vehicle. There was no email, no sticker placed on the car, no letter on my door and he had it towed away. It was very stressful and time consuming to track down my vehicle after a hard day of work. I resided at an apartment in Arlington, VA, owned by Greystar Management. Both leasing office and Greystar management have violated my lease as well as Virginia to not have provided the security deposit and pro-rated rent prior to my 45-day move-out. According to Virginia law, landlords must provide the check within 45 days after tenant move-out. Failed at every level. Failed to maintain hot water, electric, applances, elevators, and the proptery. Management was absymal and lacked any and all empathy to their team's in ablilty to fix or do anything correct. Their lastest and greatest idea was to fine us for stains on the underside of the carpet as there were no visable stains on the topside of the carpet, but ripped up the whole room with pilars and said it needed to be replaced and we were on the hook for it as we did not idenify the stains under the carpet upon mov... read more
American Campus- ***************** is charging premium housing prices for sub-par housing. At $1000/mth, one would think everything would be up to par. We had to pay rent on 8/01/23 but could not move in until 8/12/23 due to cleaning, so we were told... That would've been fine if they were in fact cleaned and fixed up during those 2 weeks we were not allowed into the facilities. What a lot of us in fact walked into were dirty, smelly, broken down accommodations. I would expect that from a dorm or a low rent apt complex. My d... read more
