I'm not the only person complaining about bogus charges. They sent me a bill after my daughter moved out with a list of hidden charges. The lease ended on 7/31 the day she moved out. I was charged a holdover fee of $200 because according to management she was supposed to be out by 9. We never received an email stating that plus the contract says move out on the day of. This is bad business.

I resided in a Greystar property from 2020-2021, and I was a responsible tenant that maintained a clean apartment and paid rent on time. Ahead of moving out, I requested a walk through with property staff in writing and never received a response. Since I thought the unit was in good shape, I didn't press any further and moved out. Novel Atherton’s tag line should be “best lip-service by the most incompetent staff you’ll ever meet”. This joke of a complex is just that; a joke. You’ll end up paying a big LUX price for a mediocre, at BEST, experience. The only thing arguably worth the steep price tag is the location. It has been roughly 4 months I was asked to issue a roughly 2k holding deposit for an application. I did not move my daughter into the apartment and they still have yet to reimburse me my money! No one answers calls nor responds to voicemails at this establishment. I want my money back! This is a scam to rip hard working citizens off! Do not apply to these apartments!

I would have never signed a lease with this company had I been smart enough to come here to read these comments first. My son has no air conditioning. Roaches everywhere...DISGUSTING and unclean environment. I am preparing to get legal help as I can't seem to comprehend that this is okay. This is a whole new level of slum lord.. I am saddened and appalled as I have spoken to many people over the phone and onsite and unfortunately I believe they are well versed with many lies and brush offs. This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST!! My son has lived here through a water main break that took over 60 days to fix his unit and when it was complete they did not clean up after their vendors. Now his AC went out on Friday and we are being told the on call maintenance worker is only for Emergencies and AC being out with a heat advisory issued is not considered an emergency.

Management of our complex (city gate apartment in Denver) by grey star has been atrocious. We have lost thousands of dollars at this point to stollen packages, car break-ins, towings that don’t meet state compliance laws with unclear parking signage, and pet medical and hotel bills from the month we were without AC last year in June-July.
