During a national pandemic in March 2020, 24 Hour Fitness left members with no way to cancel memberships! Clubs were closed, and they did not answer the corporate phones. So I notified them by certified mail to cancel my membership. They have ignored this legal communication and instead charged my credit card twice since being notified! We all know at this time that because of shelter in place orders gyms cannot charge us membership fees. I was surprised to see that 24 Hour Fitness continued to charge me and when I called their customer service says that automatic message says nobody is available to speak to customers. And when I tried to use send an email the page won't allow it. Unacceptable that 24 Hour Fitness is unreachable at this time. I had a complaint with 24 Fitness and contacted their Member services. They helped me out and helped me understand the situation. They were courteous and found a resolution. I've been a member for almost 20 years and will continue to be. I highly recommend 24 hour fitness.

It is disgusting how 24 Hour Fitness treat the members during pandemic. All I can say is CALL THE BANKS AND DISPUTE THE CHARGE. Cancel the membership when the gym opens.

Tried to freeze my account a month ago due to COVID-19, but never got a response. The company keeps charging me even though all of their gyms are closed. I have now emailed them 3 times, with no response. It appears they are doing it too all of their members and refusing to refund membership fees.

Aloha, I chose your gym because honestly my wife and I didn't have any other options closer to our home. I am completely frustrated with how you have handled your business from the beginning of this pandemic. Not only were your gyms closed and you were still charging your membership fees but you left no way for us to contact you in order to assist us in cancelling or freezing our memberships. I got charged twice within the time they have been closed for training services that I am obviously not using. Not to mention the second charge was out of nowhere and unnecessarily done. There is no way to contact them at the moment, therefore not even my bank was able to reverse the charges.

24 Hour Fitness gyms have been closed for 3 weeks now. Yesterday my bank account was charged for a full month. This should be illegal. 24 hour fitness operations are closed and have no open date in the future. I have emailed them twice to only get an automated response back basically saying that we are all screwed out of our money. I will never, ever, consider doing business with this establishment ever again. This is a global pandemic in which many, including myself, have been affected due to job closure as a result of COVID-19. This business is absolutely disgusting and provided no cancellation method for those such as myself who cannot afford the monthly charges.
