I knew what kind of car I wanted, and had been to a different Hyundai dealer but was not comfortable. I was treated promptly, and with courtesy. Dan answered my questions frankly, and I did not feel as though I was being tricked or pressured. When I decided to buy the car, they made the process straightforward, and less arduous than any of my previous automobile purchases.
I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP. HAVING BEEN IN COMMUNICATION WITH CARL HE WAS WAITING WITH THE CAR THAT WAS BEING DISCUSSED FOR MY PURCHASE. EVERYONE HE INTRODUCED ME TO, JIMMY AND BOB WERE SO ACCOMADATING FROM THE PURCHASING AND FINANCIAL END AS WELL. THEY ALSO WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP ME RETURN THE RENTAL CAR I HAD BEEN USING. TO SUM UP MY EXPERIENCE 'THEY WERE WONDERFUL!'
All of the people we interacted with at Earnhardt Hyundai were friendly, competent and very pleasant. I went in to explore a Hyundai Sonata and was greeted in less than 30 seconds by Sean, was shown a wonderful selection of Sonatas and given a great test drive. I have never been to a dealership where you werent attacked at the door as you walked in. Sean Lantz, my salesman, approached me in a friendly maner, but wasnt pushie at all. Very professional. He allowed me to take out for test drives in as many cars as I felt I needed to. He spent as much time with me as I needed. This, the Genesis sedan, is my first Hyundai. I traded in an Acura TL and my previous cars were a Lexus, a Mercedes and a BMW. I was really impressed by the quality, drive and spaciousness of the Hyundai Genesis. I'm 6'4" and when I adjusted the front seat I was also able to sit in the back seat comfortably. The road handling was superb, the car is Lexus' quiet and the acceleration was there when needed. But why did I really get the car...it was the interaction with the salesman Carl Pickett. I have bought (2) cars from Earnhardt in the last 45 days... a 2012 Genesis and a 2012 Veloster. Both are excellent cars and fun to drive. Carl Pickett was my guide on both cars and was patient, professional and was actually fun to be around unlike most salesman that try to push you into buying a car. The whole dealership was very friendly and clean. The waiting area has a nice flat screen T.V. and comfortable chairs unlike some other dealers I have been at in the past for maintenance. I had a horrible car buying experience when it was Discover and it has carried over and I would say gotten worse not that Earnhardt bought them out. I have bought a lot of cars in my lifetime and have never complained but I feel very strongly about this. If this dealership wasn't so close to my house I would avoid. I have to chase them down to find out what's wrong with my car. One time they had my car for a week and no one called me to tell me anything.
