Expensive? Nah - try moving when you have delicate items and great furniture and your movers drop that vase your mother gave you for your graduation. Or they dissemble an art deco lamp wrong and it no longer hangs the way it did when you fell in love with the darn thing. Tears of Joy – I decided to use ORI VAN LINES based on some internet research, and it was a great choice. 1. They charge a flat rate for travel- none of this double drive time business that can cost you an arm and a leg like some of the other companies. 2. Every single person I spoke to over the phone was kind, patient, and very supportive. Ori van lines were awesome when my roommate and I had to move at the last minute. They really came through in a pinch. They called us ahead of time to get a list of the larger furniture items, like couches and beds, and also an estimate on how many boxes. Unfortunately, with our luck, it rained on the day of our move. The movers were friendly and courteous throughout the day, despite the bad weather and some last minute packing on our part. I highly recommend this moving company to anyone moving: house, condo, or apartment. I actually researched moving companies when preparing for our move from a 3rd floor apartment to a house. Due to a bad moving experience a couple of years ago (bad service and charged us way over what the quote was because we had "heavy boxes") I wanted to check out reviews from previous customers. ORI VAN LINES assisted me with my move and could not have been better. They were on time, professional and very nice. For the most part, I had packed up my things, but what I hadn't finished, they packed for me with their boxes, including a wardrobe box so I didn't have to put my hanging clothes in a plastic bag like I've done before! They took apart my bookcase for me, shrink wrapped and blanketed my furniture and were pleasant and quick about everything from start to finish. Smooth Moves is just that. A smooth move (at a decent price). They are kind of like drinking a White Russian on a warm spring morning right before you take a dip in a pool that is as still as glass. Nice and easy. I highly recommend using these guys. Not only are they quick, smooth, and cheap, but when they are done moving you, buy them a couple beers and have a drink with them, because they are a hell of allot of fun after the business is over!
The guys at ORI VAN LINES are awesome! Friendly, funny and fast - I have never seen movers run before! Plus they completed everything in fewer than three hours, which was a feat unto itself - I moved from the 42nd floor of a high rise building, and also required a stop at a self-storage facility to move certain things into that. They were completely cool with the multiple destinations. Moving is a huge pain in the a.., but they made it easier - I highly recommend ORI VAN LINES.
Wow. WOW. These guys were absolutely amazing. I called on a Wednesday to book for that Sunday, and it was absolutely no problem, and the guy I talked to on the phone was super nice. I've never gotten movers before, and he could have totally taken advantage of me, but really helped me through it all. kickass move – These guys were kickass. They showed up early, called ahead to make sure I would be ready, and were super friendly and nice. The added fees are super minimal. They do not charge you for blankets, the tape used to wrap the blankets, or anything like that. They do charge for a huge roll of plastic wrap that offers the furniture extra protection, and that was the only extra charge even suggested to us.
