Popped in today and we over heard the woman at the counter say to another staff member ‘I’ve been in bed for a week with it I’ve been so ill’ whilst having a chesty horrible cough that she couldn’t contain and had to keep drinking while serving people. We felt really uncomfortable, I am newly pregnant and also had our little girl with us who is vulnerable. Why are you volunteering today!!! There is no need for you to be there!! Put us off massively!
Popped in to look round saw a lovely Christmas jumper for my granddaughter.. it was from h&m with the tag still on £5.99 .. there price was £7.00 I pointed it out to a staff member and told her there charging more then the original price ,she just shrugged her shoulders and blamed head office and said her hands were tied and refused to drop the price .. and then made me feel I was in the wrong for pointing it out.. I will never donate to that shop again (small women with glasses quite rude..
Rude member of staff. After being ignored for at least 5 minutes whilst trying to donate ladies clothing, was asked "is nobody else taking donations today"!!!! The clothes I donated were high quality and some had never been worn. Never will I give anything at this shop again. Terrible attitude.
Nice shop. Shame about the grumpy manager. I used to donate regularly but unfortunately I am not able to gift aid which seemed to change her attitude towards me every time I had to reply no to this request. I refuse to donate here now. The odd occasion I have had to return an item I have bought, again I am met with the demeanour of someone who has been asked to pay for this out of their own pocket. At least I know it’s not just me, It happened to a lady in front of me in the queue today. Buyer beware.
