Went in and was told it was cash only,. No problem. Asked if they could just hold a painting for me. OMFG the little old lady was so rude, condescending and spoke down to me. I've never been spoken to like this before not even from my own parents.
Went in on Saturday around 4pm, my boyfriend was looking at the card stand while I was looking at some shelves next to him. He wasn't spinning the stand fast or hard, simply having a browse. The women behind the till SNATCHED it away from him and towards her from behind the till, without saying a word. He was speaking to me about some of the cards as we were thinking about getting a few different ones, so its not like she didn't know anyone was looking at it. this is a nice charity shop, and i go into it everytime, although it can be a little overpriced when i comes to certain items. i wouldn’t say really overpriced but certainly abit more expensive then second hand items should be. I understand all the money is going to charity but when going to a charity shop you do expect bargains
I would never not go into a charity store because you never know what you might find. However I know exactly what I'll find here and thats overpriced stock and slightly rude (snappy) staff. There are more reasonable stores to go to for bargains
