We stayed in the "Kiln" section of Woodwick mill and, honestly, this is one of the best self catering places I've ever rented. An old mill building with a nearby millpond was beautifully restored and renovated while maintaining much of the original character. The "Kiln" has three floors with the kitchen/living room on the top floor offering great easterly and westerly views through large windows. Excellent accommodation specified to an extremely high standard. Beautiful location. Fabulous views. Well surpassed expectations.
We stayed in Sheafy at Woodwick Mill in Orkney and found the accommodation to be quaint yet modern and remote but close enough to Kirkwall for amenities. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who wants good quality accommodation in a rural setting.
