We had a truly blissful week's holiday, a welcome escape in peace and quiet. The lodge was extremely comfortable and it was so nice to stare out of the big window and take in the view of the fields, the trees and the sky. The lodge is set down from the village road, so we were not woken or disturbed at all. Whitley Chapel is a good base for exploring the area. Hexham is a 10-15 minute drive along quiet, country roads. Over the past year or two, we have travelled extensively through England Scotland and Wales by road. This unit for two is one of our very favourites, not just because of the quality of the feel of the place, but the warmth and hospitality we get here. With so much to do and see in the area, after 2 stays we are quickly planning our third. A real stargazer's paradise. Book - but please bring a car!
