Me and my son had a wonderful day on the Map Navigation course with Barry. He was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient. We both learnt a lot and now feel much more confident to go out into the hills!

Just got back from the 24hours Family Survival Course - Derbyshire. With my wife and 2 boys. A huge thank you to Jason, his daughter and Jodie Bear for a fantastic experience in the woods. Easy to follow directions to site with parking. Then it is backpack on for a 10 minute walk into the forest. Check the kit list, because the experience is designed to be immersive. Returning to your car is aloud but not really the point, so make sure your kit bag is ready to throw on your back and forget everything outside the gate. The st... read more
We did the 24-hour Father & Son Bushcraft course and it was absolutely incredible! We built our own shelter, tried wood carving for the first time, and my son learned how to safely and properly handle a knife. He also learned how to start a fire and the importance of fire safety. We played tracking games, learned how to prepare and cook wild game (which tasted amazing!), and the kettle was always on , so plenty of brews throughout the day.
