Our first visit to the Wizards Thatch, which certainly won’t be our last. Totally blown away with the whole experience. Quirky, cosy and romantic. Great communication from our host Ian, who recommended great bars, restaurants and walks in and around Alderley Edge. A must stay. Absolutely superb Regards Mitch and Kim Sears.

The rooms are nice, but...no sink downstairs, where the "kitchen" is. Can't wash your hands while preparing food or eating, can't wash plates... Several things don't work, like TV or CD-player. Check it between guests, will you? The owner is too intense. Calling several times and chatting for half an hour about nothing. On their website it's written with huge letters that "You automatically get early check-ins and late check-outs". This is simply not true. Check-in was at 15 and check-out at 10.

We have just returned home after a night stay at the Wizards Thatch in Alderley Edge. What a delightful enchanting space. We stayed in the Wizardry Suite and it certainly lived up to all of our expectations and more… it’s truly a magical place. Ian keeps in constant contact with you before your visit and gives you all of the information that you need and places to eat and drink in the surrounding area. The Wizardry is filled with so many Historical Artefacts, Curiosities and Memorabilia so much so that one visit isn’t enough... read more

Absolutely wonderful suite, brilliantly placed for travelling to local sites of interest. Hosts are attentive and offered brilliant advice on what was worth going to look at, couldn't have asked for more
