Swore I’d never go back here after encountering a very rude member of staff in the bar last winter but it was conveniently located by bus stop of my slightly disabled relative so we went for lunch. Big regrets. I ordered the crab salad and chips. My plate arrived with a handful of chips and no salad whatsoever. I asked for my salad only to be bought a sauce size small circular bowl with about four salad leaves in it which I complained about. Absolutely excellent since the refurb! Lovely food, really friendly staff, beautiful decor, great rooms. We will be back.
A lovely place to visit .Having had a recent refurbishment I would highly recommend a visit . Timothy Taylor cask ale was in during our visit. The front bar was busy , and it had only one member of staff working hard preparing cocktails. Will return .
We absolutely love this restaurant – it’s our favourite place to eat! Tonight we celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary, and we want to say a huge thank you to Anna and Alex for making it extra special. They are a credit to the company. The food and service were truly 5-star. Highly recommend!
Luxury, pure and unadulterated. Fabulous location for this historic building, it's ancient yet contemporary.
